Bridge of Weir occurs as little village in the Renfrewshire authority to the west of Scotland's largest city, Glasgow. Historically, its large industry was leather, and at its productivity peak a little village supported triad single leather works, or even 'tanneries'. the leather industry lives to this day, albeit in a little shell than in the period of its prime.
When Bridge of Weir remains the vibrant little community, it has be something of the commuter haven, & has achieved the reputation of proportional richness along lines similar to Bearsden in the north of Glasgow and Newton Mearns in the south.
A village boasts a bit of fantabulous flow of any stream camping, bisected when these are per River Gryffe, a affluent of the River Clyde. Amongst more mintage, a flow of any stream is persons to brown trout, grayling and, occasionally, Atlantic salmon. A scenery in a flow of any stream, particularly to the west of the town, towards Quarrier's Village, is quite stunning and unspoilt.
